march madness

My friend has a project that he’s presenting at some panel regarding the proposed changes to the Moroccan constitution. To prepare his argument he’s been reading the Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Benin constitutions. I asked if he was going to read the US constitution, and he said “sorry no.” I couldn’t help but say, “that’s alright, I don’t think our commander in chief has either!”

I wonder why there was enough time to talk with NATO and France and Britain about taking direct action in Libya, but apparently not enough time to talk to our own congress as required by our constitution? I wonder what other vital domestic services will be on the chopping block when we add some more fighter jets to our already disproportionate military spending. I wonder why democracy rhymes with hypocrisy.
