Fire in the sky

Columbus Day was one of the many holidays that I will NOT be celebrating during my stay in an Islamic country, but today’s adventure almost paid tribute to the erroneous darling of 1492. Another wasted trip to Kenitra today when I tried to go to the class that I couldn’t find last week only to find that it was canceled. I can report partial success, because I did manage to find the correct university building this time, randomly situated in “le palais des foires” away from the main campus. An added bonus, I discovered the title of my course, “civilisation et culture”. Turning a failure into a discovery, Columbus would be proud.

Tonight I left yoga early, as usually, to scurry to Arabic class. I ended up being late anyway, unable to look away from the sky. Guess you’ve got to walk the talk when your name means”land where the sun sets”.
