Good morning, Medina

September 18, 2010 § Leave a comment

Last night proved the necessity of clarity in financial transactions. With thirty minutes until midnight, Aoufiya and I cruised to an atm so I could withdraw the maximum daily allowance. Marouane and Robert served as bodyguards for the midnight transaction. As chance would have it, being an American tenant means fronting your host family for a new television in exchange for 2 months of rent. Early this morning, I got a second helping of a maximum withdrawal and forked it all over.

At least I was able to gratify my “unconventional” snapshot craving by going to the atm un-chaperoned this morning.  The medina waking up:

deserted

What is that doing there?

Meryam thinks this scooter is lame. I love it
